Progress and Score Tracking

Overview

The Progress screen helps you track your Bible memorization journey through three comprehensive views: Activity, Maturity, and Milestones. Access it by tapping trending_up Progress in the navigation menu.

The Three Main Tabs

show_chart Activity Tab

Shows your recent memorization activity with three view options:

Daily View calendar_view_day

• Bar chart displaying the last 7 days of daily scores
• Each bar shows words recalled that day
• Progress bar indicates daily target achievement
• Color coding: ● amber = target met, ● blue = partial progress

Weekly View view_week

• Bar chart showing the last 7 weeks (49 days total)
• Each bar represents a 7-day period’s total score
• Displays cumulative weekly progress
• Helps identify memorization patterns over time

Calendar View calendar_month

• 7×8 grid showing 49 days plus buffer days
• Three cell states: no score (base color), some score (blue tint), goal reached (amber tint)
• Today’s date highlighted with a border
• Streak tracking with local_fire_department flame icon
• Month boundaries shown with subtle background shading

Toggle between views using the view selector in the top-right corner of the card.

donut_large Maturity Tab

Displays your cumulative achievement organized by retention level:

• Bar chart showing score distribution across difficulty levels (1-15+)
• Total score displayed with stars icon
• Shows which levels contribute most to your overall score
• Helps identify which verses need more review

emoji_events Milestones Tab

Celebrates your best performance days:

• Ranked list of your highest-scoring days
• Shows date and score for each milestone
• Displays rank number in a circular badge
• Motivational record of peak achievements
• Automatically updates as you set new records

Understanding Score Elements

Daily Target Progress

• Set in Account Settings as “Daily target” (words per day)
• Progress bar shows current/target with percentage
• Turns amber when daily target is achieved

Streak Tracking local_fire_department

• Active streak: Amber flame with day count — you reviewed today
• Stale streak (with talents): crown crown icon — your streak is protected (see Streak Protection below)
• Stale streak (no talents): Blue flame — streak at risk, review today to keep it
• No streak: Gray flame with “Review verses, start streak”

Streak Protection (Talents)

Talents act as a grace period that protects your streak when you miss a day, inspired by the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14–30).

Earning talents

• You earn 1 talent for every 6 consecutive days of reviewing
• You can hold up to 7 talents at a time

Spending talents

• When you miss a day, 1 talent is automatically spent to keep your streak alive
• Multiple rest days in a row each consume 1 talent
• If you run out of talents and miss a day, your streak breaks

Visual indicators

• A crown crown icon with your talent count appears next to the streak flame in the Calendar view
• The crown turns ● amber when you reach the maximum of 7 talents
• When all talents are spent, the crown disappears and the flame turns blue as a warning

Color Indicators

• Primary color (red): Current selection and UI elements
• Secondary color (amber): Goals achieved, active streaks
• Tertiary color (blue): Partial progress, stale streaks
• Surface colors: Background shading for visual organization

Sharing Progress

Tap the share share button to:

• Take a screenshot of the current view
• Share your progress on social media
• Include encouraging message and link to Remember Me

Menu Options

The more_vert menu provides:

• Delete old scores: Remove historical data before a selected date
• Includes undo functionality via the undo button

Tips for Success

1. Check Activity daily - Monitor your 7-day trend to maintain consistency
2. Watch your streak - Consecutive days build memorization habits
3. Celebrate Milestones - Use high-score days as motivation
4. Review Maturity - Focus on lower-level verses that need reinforcement
5. Set realistic targets - Adjust daily goals in Account Settings as needed
